DCLVIII, c'est la rencontre de deux passionnés de musique électronique, Anthony Godin et Jean-Patrice (JP), également connu sous l'alias "Rollboy." Anthony apporte son héritage deep et mélodique, tandis que JP contribue avec son amour pour la tech-house groovy.

DCLVIII incarne une approche plus techno, avec des influences de Detroit et une touche à la Garnier, ajoutant une progression subtile et une touche mélodique. Ils se distinguent en ne se limitant pas à un style en vogue du moment, plaçant les émotions au cœur de leur musique. Leur démarche musicale privilégie les labels qui partagent leur passion et leur vision.

Anthony Godin, plus connu sous son alias "The White Shadow (FR)," est un vétéran de la production musicale depuis plus de deux décennies, avec plus de 25 ans d'expérience en mixage. Son parcours artistique a débuté dans le monde de la techno mélodique, mais il a rapidement évolué vers des sonorités plus profondes et en a résulté le projet "The White Shadow (FR)." Sous ce nom, il a signé sur des labels de renom tels que Suara, Still Von Talent, Kattermukke, et Einmusika, attirant l'attention de DJs de renom tels que Solomon, Maceo Plex, et Oliver Huntemann.

Au fil de sa carrière, Anthony a exploré différents équipements musicaux, passant de la MPC2000, du micro Korg, du Nord Lead 2, et d'une Yamaha 01V à une approche plus minimaliste avec un Moog Sub37, une TD-3, une Roland TR-8S, et des performances live immersives.

Cependant, il a décidé de mettre fin au projet "The White Shadow (FR)" pour des raisons personnelles, et en collaboration avec son collègue, il a créé le projet DCLVIII.

Il y a sans doute de la beauté en toute chose, même dans le Chaos, cet Ep est une "mise en musique" d'une dévastation en cours.

Puisque tout sera englouti un jour, pourquoi ne pas sublimer ces instants, imaginer une dernière fête, savourer en dansant la Fin de l'Humanité ?

Je dois bien vous avouer qu'il me semble évident que cette fin "révée" sera bien plus violente malheureusement, mais cela est un tout autre sujet, bonne écoute, merci pour votre Temps.

Cette semaine c'est une sortie un peu plus spéciale pour moi sur Brique Rouge Music car c'est le retour d'un très vieil ami. Un ami des origines, un mec qui a signé un des disques les plus emblématiques de la grande époque 2000/2001 du label [The Kick Inside BR012]. Un grand producteur qui a fait le plus gros de sa carrière sur le mythique label F Communication de Laurent Garnier avec Llorca Art Of Tones, Jori Hulkkonen ou encore Alexkid pour ne citer que mes plus délirants compadre de l'époque.

Bref un beau retour aux sources, et ce que je peux dire c'est que Laurent n'a rien perdu de son talent pour la House éthérée...  more

Label's boss David Duriez going back to his roots, coming back to deep & sensual House Music like he was known for 25 years ago.

That was not planned, the story behind the track is revolving around this vocal recorded by long time friend Hector Moralez and sitting here, on David's hard drive for years. And then suddenly it happened, you know, when you load that track into your project and it fits perfectly.

The story is about an American dj living this life, this life in Paris. Of course this is auto-biographical for Hector but also for David, because while he's obsviously not American, he was not from Paris and was living there at the same time than Hector, living this Dj life, this producer life, this music life.

The package comes complete with several different versions including one from the magic duo, the pair of french wizards, living this life for a very long time too : Gilb-R & I;Cube aka Château Flight that make an appearance on the label for the very first time (come on guys !! It was about time). And i must say they are delivering beyond the expected with a solid mental Chicago-esque acid ghetto trip (is that enough words to describe the vibe of their remix ?) . Recorded live i've been told. Old school darkness.
This is also part of this life !

Second version comes from David's long long long time Chicago friend Mazi aka Audio Soul Project. Another duo that was living this life in Paris and making a part of their discography together during that era. Mazi is in top form and is experimenting UK House & Garage for quite some time now. His mix is bouncing and sexy.

And last but not least, our very own Jules Wells that releases his first album today (oct,06 2023) and that you SHOULD check now. Jules is a multi-talented producer, his tracks are funky yet techno and house, it's a very special blend. And this time he goes deep but with a drive (his trademark). A very special version in my opinion.
