After his collaboration with the German saxophonist Samson Benji, the USA producer, instrumentalist and singer Stephen Moore aka Stefanosis is back with some fresh vibrations. This time he collaborates with Soulfyah Productions from Germany on four riddims.

His new release is entitled Dubplate Situation and includes 5 tracks: four vocal tracks on riddims composed by Soulfyah Productions voiced by Stefanosis in a dublate style, plus a very special melodica cut.

Munay Ki Dub is an electronic dub trio, representing a new breed of dub artists. Hailing up from the mountains of central Argentina, they combine live instruments such as violin, melodica, percussion, bass and guitar with programming, effects and digital instruments. The name comes from the South American Quechua language and means “I Love Dub”.

Andes Dub is a collaboration between Munay Ki Dub and Peruvian artist Rebel-I. The song evokes the importance of Andean culture, its intimate relationship with nature and core beliefs. Musically, the tune explores the stepper style and is infused with synthesisers, flute and conscious lyrics delivered by Rebel-I.

Recorded in the mystical AKS studio of French producer Mr Zebre in Lima, Peru, mixed by Alejo González in the MKD studio in Córdoba, Argentina, and mastered by Alejo González and Martin Ventura (bithous). Music by Alejo González. Lyrics by Alvaro Olivares.

Spanish self-taught producer RootsyBeats has been playing keyboard in many local and international reggae bands since 1980, sharing the stage with artists like Macka B, Mad Professor, Alpha Blondy, I Roy, Skarra Mucci just to name a few. Recently and with the rise of the internet and the ease that it offers to meet new people, he started to collaborate with artists from all over the world, composing and producing his own music.

New tune coming from the Land of the Rising Sun. The Osaka reggae singer Sister Maki, known through her collaboration with Dub Cmd in 2020 with Way To Zion (Pt. I & II), Swe in 2021 with Prayers and Shanti-K also in 2021 with Revolution, returns with a new tune.

This time she comes with her own band from her homeland Japan, which was founded in 2012, bringing a deeper meditation to the Kobe and Osaka Music scene. It includes Goja Bongos on the percussion and as special guest Aki Mittoo on the melodica, who continues to make wonderful music through her newly founded label Muffin Records.

Hailing from USA, Madi Simmons is no stranger on our label. He appeared on many releases on our label, collaborating with Culture Horn, Dubsynaticx and Red Star Martyrs and has been awarded in 2018 Best Male Independent Reggae Recording Artist and Best Album Of The Year (for I Am A Rootsman)

It is a stepper style reggae song with apocalyptic theme lyrics. Kali Yuga is a concept in Hinduism that says we're now in the fourth cycle/age of existence, which is the most difficult one. It is the age of darkness and despair among humanity and across the entire Earth, when chaos, confusion, and hypocrisy reigns. The unmistakable sound of Stefanosis is also in this release present, were roots reggae fuses with eastern melodies and philosophies!

Based on a new roots reggae riddim written by Med Dred, Flying Melodicas is a playful musical reasoning with the two melodica players complementing each other in a fun and soulful way!

After Roots Strong, which was released in December 2021, the Colombian melodica virtuoso Dub Idren collaborates one more time with UK reggae dub producer I-niverse. The result is a musical journey to the Mystical Valley.

This project was born in 2019, with the aim of merging Caribbean reggae with sounds from his land, to give an experience full of delight and rhythm for extremely fine ears, manifesting through deep melodies a unique sensation, which will make you connect with your inner self in a mental and spiritual way, with a powerful energy that transmits the message of unity.

IRoadie, born in The Netherlands in 1968, embraced the reggae scene at a very young age. The first lick on his guitar was Marley`s “Redemption song” at 11 years old. He spent his youth on stage and in rehearsal playing with many bands throughout the years, with rhythm guitar and roots reggae as his main focus. Working with multitrack recorders made him an independent producer and qualified broadcast studio engineer while the digital revolution enabled him a worldwide audience.

After years of manufacturing percussion instruments, studio work became his core business. Many artists visited his studio dubbing tracks. Cd productions followed in the styles of traditional Wassolon Mali music, Ska, Rock Steady and Roots Reggae. As time passed, he enjoyed many live performances and tours as guitarist and percussionist.

Fast forward to the present, iRoadie supports art students in audio visual technics, while he keeps the fire alive with a stream of new Roots Dub productions and playing guitar in a Rock-Steady band. iRoadie never gets weary and a new challenge starts for him in 2021, through a collaboration with Dubophonic Records. His debut EP on the label is entitled “Dub Time”. It consists of three dubs, the first one being based on the classic Cuss Cuss riddim featuring Stefanosis on the melodica. Strictly positive vibes!
