Dennis Moser, aka "usr/sbin", aka "AldoManutio Abruzzo" ... is an experimental soundscape/ambient musician and visual artist; trained as a classical musician (guitar, trombone, recorder, Renaissance lute). Currently, he works with various permutations of guitars, synthesizer, and computer-based composition tools, as well as other audio/aural odds and ends. As an undergraduate, he performed Renaissance and Baroque music with both the Madrigal Singers and the Collegium Musicum of the University of Texas, Austin, as lutenist and guitarist. With his move into the electronic music realm in the late 1990's, he began performing live ambient music at several venues in the North Texas area. From there, he travelled to New England, Wyoming, and Alaska. These days, he works in his studio in a small town in southeastern France.
He has released multiple CDs and participates regularly in numerous collaborative projects with the Ambient Collective. Look for these works under his "usr/sbin" project name. His music is also available through The Internet Archives; just search for "usr/sbin" or "Dennis Moser" there.
